Get Crafty!

By this point in the year, you have begun to find a sense of normalcy in your day to day activities in the wake of COVID-19. You’re starting to go out shopping again, you’re back at work, and maybe even engaging in some social activities (hopefully with social distancing and the wearing of masks). It is important to find hobbies and things that interest you to help you maintain mental and emotional balance. Guess what I suggest? Crafting of course! Using your hands is a great way to alleviate stress and focus your attention on something other than the mundanity of life.

“I’m not crafty”, you say. Oh, but you are! Though I love those things, crafting isn’t just about hot glue guns, scissors, and glitter. Crafting can simply be putting things together to create something new and beautiful (or not, if that’s your thing). Maybe you don’t paint, but you love to cook. Get in the kitchen and craft a new dish! You may not sew, but you can put together an amazing outfit with what’s in your closet. Go do that! Gather your friends on Zoom and have a fashion show, featuring you!

The point of it all is to do something that you love. Do something that inspires you and helps you to think outside of the box. Whatever it is, you can do it. Get crafty!
